California Seeks a Waiver From the EPA on ACF Rule Implementation

The California Advanced Clean Fleets (ACF) rule is set to be implemented in under three weeks, and the state of California is calling on the Environmental Protection Agency to provide them a waiver that would “end any questions about whether the state can implement it.”

Starting January 1st, trucks must be registered in the California Air Resources Board (CARB) online system to conduct drayage activities in California. You can read more about this, here.

Truckers and ILWU plus Terminal Operators in LA/LB, Disagree Over Chassis Paperwork Proposal

Truckers are pushing back on a proposed rule that would require truck drivers that work the ports of LA and LB to provide proof of ownership or lease for all private chassis.

If not, they would be sent for a safety inspection prior to picking up cargo, which some say would create an increase in the gateway’s truck turn times.

Wreaths Across America

Wreaths Across America is an initiative to honor veterans and their families by placing wreaths on the graves of fallen soldiers, in remembrance.

The Honor Fleet involves volunteer professional truck drivers to transport the millions of wreaths, to over 2,500 cemeteries and memorials throughout the country.
